Glossary / Defamation
What is defamation?
Defamation is a false statement of fact, published to someone else, that damages a person or business's reputation.
A review is only defamatory if it states something as fact that is both false and harmful. Truth is a complete defence in every US state, and clearly framed opinion ("I felt rushed") is not a statement of fact at all. This is why a defensible review sticks to dated events, amounts, and what you personally observed, and phrases judgements as your own view.
