What is slapp suit?

A SLAPP suit is a lawsuit filed mainly to intimidate a critic into silence rather than to win on the merits.

Most US states have anti-SLAPP statutes that let a defendant get a meritless case dismissed early, sometimes with fees paid by the plaintiff. Reviews about consumer transactions frequently qualify as protected speech on a matter of public interest. A truthful, documented review is the single best protection.
