What is demand letter?

A demand letter is a dated written request for a specific remedy, sent before filing a claim.

It should state the transaction, the failure, the amount sought, a deadline, and what you will do if the deadline passes. Keep it factual — a demand that threatens negative reviews unless money is paid can be characterised as extortion and undermines the reviews themselves.
