Glossary / Review filtering
What is review filtering?
Review filtering is a platform automatically hiding a review it judges unreliable, without deleting it or notifying you.
Yelp's recommendation software is the best-known example, but Google, Facebook and Trustpilot all run comparable systems. Filters weigh account age, review history, device and location signals, and posting velocity. A first-ever review from a new account about a business the reviewer just searched is the highest-risk profile.
