What is review gating?

Review gating is a business screening customers first and only inviting the happy ones to post publicly.

It is prohibited by Google's and Trustpilot's policies and treated as deceptive by the FTC because it manufactures a rating that does not reflect the customer base. It is one reason a business with a near-perfect average can still have a pattern of unresolved complaints elsewhere.
