Template: appeal a removed review
Use it when: A platform removed or filtered a review you posted about your own transaction.
The template
Subject: Reinstatement request — review of [business], removed [date] My review of [business] was removed on [date]. I am the customer described in it. The transaction occurred on [date] for $[amount], and I can provide the invoice and payment record on request. The review described only my own first-hand experience: [one-sentence summary]. It contained no profanity, no third-party personal information, no promotional content, and no conflict of interest — I have no competing business and no relationship with the business beyond this transaction. Please advise which specific policy clause the review was found to violate so I can address it directly, or reinstate the review. [Your name] [Account email]
What to swap in
- The summary sentence — mirror the wording of the removed review
- Attach or offer the receipt; that is what unlocks most reinstatements
What gets it deleted
- Arguing that the business flagged it out of spite
- Reposting the identical text before the appeal resolves
The full wording rules are in how to write a review that stays up, and the terms behind them are in the glossary.
