How to leave a review on Trustpilot

Trustpilot is where online retailers and service companies send buyers, so a negative review there hits their own marketing pages.

Who sees it
Online shoppers, and often the business's own website widget.
What you need
A verified email account. Trustpilot may ask for proof of purchase.

Step by step

  1. Search the company domain on Trustpilot.
  2. Write the review with the date of your experience.
  3. Upload your order confirmation or invoice if prompted — verified reviews are much harder to remove.

Why Trustpilot removes reviews

  • Companies can flag a review, which temporarily hides it until Trustpilot decides.
  • Trustpilot asks for documentation when a review is disputed — having it ready is decisive.
  • Reviews naming individual staff members are usually edited or removed.

Making yours stick

  • Keep the receipt; Trustpilot will ask for it.
  • Refer to the company, not to a named employee.
  • Stick to your own transaction.
