How to leave a review on Trustpilot
Trustpilot is where online retailers and service companies send buyers, so a negative review there hits their own marketing pages.
- Who sees it
- Online shoppers, and often the business's own website widget.
- What you need
- A verified email account. Trustpilot may ask for proof of purchase.
Step by step
- Search the company domain on Trustpilot.
- Write the review with the date of your experience.
- Upload your order confirmation or invoice if prompted — verified reviews are much harder to remove.
Why Trustpilot removes reviews
- Companies can flag a review, which temporarily hides it until Trustpilot decides.
- Trustpilot asks for documentation when a review is disputed — having it ready is decisive.
- Reviews naming individual staff members are usually edited or removed.
Making yours stick
- Keep the receipt; Trustpilot will ask for it.
- Refer to the company, not to a named employee.
- Stick to your own transaction.
