How to complain about a plumbing company
Plumbing complaints are mostly about a bill that grew after the water was already off.
What goes wrong most often
- Flat-rate pricing quoted after work began
- Damage caused during the repair
- Repeat visits billed for the same leak
The evidence that decides it
- The invoice and any written quote
- Photos of the work area before and after
- Text messages authorising work
Give the quoted price, the charged price, and whether the leak came back.
The regulator most people never use
State plumbing or contractor licensing board
Licensed plumbers are bonded in most states, which means a board complaint can reach the bond even when the company stops answering.
Your state's channel is listed in the state complaint guides.
Where to post it
- GoogleEveryone who searches the business by name, plus everyone browsing the map for a nearby alternative.
- YelpLocal shoppers comparing several nearby businesses at once.
- Better Business BureauCautious buyers who check a company before spending money, and BBB pages rank strongly in search.
- FacebookLocals, and the business's own followers.
Wording that survives moderation
Start from a review template, keep every claim tied to a document, and read the wording rules before you post. If it comes down anyway, there is an appeal path.
